The software is very easy to navigate and use, and somewhat supersedes apple mail in ease of use. It is also very feature rich.
Inky integrates all your different mail boxes, bringing them together into a single box. The software is able to sort all your mails and arrange them with the most relevant mails being highlighted.
It allows for searches of emails and attachments by type, for example, the software can extract all pdf or word files present in your email boxes when you request through the search box.
There are advanced security features that come with inky. It offers end to end encryption of all mails, thereby protecting your mails from the activities of hackers and unauthorized third party access. It does this through an encryption system based on the S/MIME standard, using a technology which is viewed as being fit for the encryption of high level secret mails.
All changes you make to your accounts on inky, are reflected on the different accounts. Therefore, you can very easily manage your different accounts on your MAC through the use of inky.
Your inky account is password protected for security. You will also be requested to supply a security question which you can use to retrieve your password if you forget it at any time.
The inky for the MAC has many different icons which can be used to customize your emails in many different ways. You can organize different types of mails into different folders such as personal mails, newsletters, notifications, attachments etc. you can also sort the different mails that appear on the unified inbox on the basis of date sent, sender, subject, etc.
You can compose emails using inky. You have the choice of selecting any of your email boxes as the sender of the message. This feature of inky makes it very easy for users to compose and send email messages from any of their mail boxes.
The few possible cons of using inky include the fact that the software tends to be memory hungry. However, it offers a feature which allows you to control the amount of attention it gets from the CPU. Also, sometimes the software may have some glitches such as delayed openings of windows, slow log in, or slow syncing with your email accounts. However, these bugs are gradually being phased out as newer versions of the software are released.
Everyone starts with a 14 day free trial which gives you full access to all features so you can evaluate how Inky works within your organization -- no credit card is required. After the trial period, Inky remains free for users who access only GMail, iCloud, and Outlook.com accounts. For other types of accounts (e.g., Exchange, Office 365, business IMAP), a paid subscription must be purchased for $5 per user per month.
